WHO PAYS FOR YOUR TREATMENT?

Find out what payment options are available after you have been involved in a personal injury case.

Payments Accepted

MED-PAY - If you have ben injured in an automobile accident where you were driving and have an auto-policy, you more than likely have auto insurance. The coverage is usually between $5,000-$10,000. This is a limited coverage to assist you to get emergency care and even have some left over for follow-up doctor visits, MRI and other imaging and so forth. You may also use Med-Pay or medical coverage insurance if you are a passenger in a vehicle and someone else was driving. If the driver of the vehicle that you were injured in, has car insurance, then chances are there is medical coverage or Med-Pay coverage for you to get treatment up to the policy amount.

UNINSURED MOTORIST - If you were in an accident and the driver took off, or doesn't have any insurance, you would be able to utilize your uninsured motorist policy. You would finish up with your care at our office, and then would discuss the bills with your adjuster and a settlement. We ask that you have an attorney for this to occur because it can get very tricky and you will most of the time, end up with much less than if you just hired an Attorney to navigate through some of these complexities. Generally speaking, you would start with your Med-Pay policy however, if that is exhausted and there was no other insurance on the other driver, then you would be able to utilize this but again, we suggest you hire a good lawyer who specializes with personal injury cases.

Letter of Protection and Signed Liens- The "Letter of Protection" is what we require if you plan on coming into our facility for further treatment and care. The LOP protects us to a certain degree and protects you too. In the events the case settles, the Attorney on record or "your attorney" will send us payment after all medical bills are negotiated with what settlement has been offered by the guilty parties insurance. The Attorney will send the check directly to us after your consent and acceptance of the settlement. We will need the LOP before you start treatment in our facility and is required for all.

*In unusual circumstances where a patient settles their own case, we expect payment in full upon settlement and this may be paid via Check or Cash. Our office does not accept monthly payments as we are not set up for this.
